Unlike regular mats, products within the Walk-N-Clean line are specially treated with an environmentally preferable adhesive that contains a nontoxic antimicrobial solution to help remove unwanted particles from shoes and disinfect them. The mats come with a tray that contains 60 shoe-cleaning sheets mounted in a heavy-duty polyethylene frame with a nonslip, nonskid backing. When the top sheet is dirty, users simply peel it away to expose a fresh sheet, says Crown Mats and Matting.
According to the company, these mats can be placed at entrances to clean rooms, laboratories, and production rooms in the pharmaceutical, biotech and telecommunication industries and others requiring critical manufacturing environments, as well as at entrances to office areas from manufacturing operations, or in any building such as office buildings, restaurants, retail, airports, hospitals and other healthcare facilities, medical offices, hotels and motels, and schools and cafeterias to help prevent bacteria, mold, and mildew from entering a facility.
Made out of polyethylene, the mats are available in gray and white and in many sizes.
