CSI, BICSI promote telecommunications in commercial, institutional buildings

by Jbs042009 b3 — April 24, 2009—The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) recently signed an agreement to cooperate on a number of activities to promote further growth and development of the telecommunications industries.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will facilitate interaction between their members to promote a qualified and skilled workforce; consider regulatory issues of common importance; further the development of the telecommunications industries worldwide; and pursue various other cooperative activities.

“Strategically, BICSI is in the process of developing unique, relevant and dynamic professional communities around the world, allowing us to advance the knowledge and success of our members and the ITS industry,” said BICSI President Edward J. Donelan, RCDD, NTS, TLT. “This partnership is a vital step forward in connecting the ITS and telecommunications construction industries, providing valuable benefits to the members of both organizations.”
