September 16, 2002—Cyco Software, a provider of CAD productivity solutions, has announced the release of AutoManager TeamWork for the Autodesk Inventor Series.
This version of Cyco’s workgroup EDM solution incorporates new capabilities designed to facilitate easier control of Inventor 3D designs, boosting design speed and enabling efficient product lifecycle management.
One of the most important benefits of the AutoManager TeamWork for Inventor, says Cyco, is that it automatically manages the references between parts, assemblies and drawings.
AutoManager TeamWork for Inventor has a special assembly import tool that imports current Inventor assemblies and parts into the document management system. This maintains the links between parts and assemblies as it copies them into the secure document vault.
Whenever a new component is created using this function in Inventor, the link immediately pops up an AutoManager TeamWork window requiring the designer to enter essential information about the new part that is initiated. This part is automatically created within the document management system.
For each document, AutoManager TeamWork for Inventor keeps track in which phase of the lifecycle the document is. Documents that are in the design phase can be modified according to a specific workflow process. The Inventor ‘iPart Author’ tool can be used to create variations from one design.
