DAQ security management system now available with Mercury access control hardware

by Brianna Crandall — May 4, 2016 — DAQ Electronics, a Piscataway, New Jersey-based manufacturer of high-end security software and equipment, recently announced that the company’s military-proven StarWatch SMS (security management system) platform is now available with access control technology from California-based access control provider Mercury Security.

This technology integration allows installers and site managers familiar with the widely used and respected Mercury hardware to easily configure and deploy security solutions using powerful and intuitive StarWatch SMS software tools.

A cornerstone for U.S. Department of Defense access control, intrusion detection, and video management solutions for over two decades, StarWatch SMS is now available for use in commercial security applications.

The security management system is said to offer true open connectivity to a diverse array of devices, including native integration with controllers from Mercury Security and multiple video and intrusion detection options. StarWatch SMS enables security professionals to easily design and implement multi-layered systems to suit even the most complex environments, says DAQ.

DAQ Electronics provides high-speed electronic automation, serving applications in both the physical security and electric utility markets. Its security technology supplies advanced solutions for access control, intrusion detection, and video management, and has reportedly been installed in some of the most secure locations in the world, including U.S. military bases and the Pentagon.
