DENTCO taps senior workforce for exterior services management

by Rebecca Walker — September 8, 2010—DENTCO, a leading Exterior Services Management Company, has joined this current nationwide trend of attracting an experienced workforce and is now actively recruiting senior citizens.

DENTCO CEO Kevin Dent remarked, “Some senior employees are playing catch-up with their retirement accounts due to the economy and others just enjoy the travel and socialization—and some just can’t seem to stop working altogether. Whatever the reason, we are an equal opportunity employer and love the attention we are getting for our increase in senior workforce nationwide.”

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment among workers 55 and older in service occupations, including healthcare support, food preparation, protective services and maintenance, grew 2.7 percent to an annual average of 3.8 million in 2009. The number of workers 55 and older employed in management, professional and related occupations increased almost 5 percent from 10.9 million in 2008 to 11.4 million last year. Not only is the unemployment rate for older Americans lower, they are the only age group that has seen employment gains.

DENTCO is offering nationwide Quality Service Inspector jobs on a part-time basis. This part-time work is perfect for those who enjoy working outdoors, walking properties to inspect landscaping, irrigation and parking lots of commercial facilities. Candidates must be able to walk in all weather conditions and maneuver on uneven ground. There will be travel requirements throughout your state and possibly others; some overnight travel is required. Dependable transportation and basic computer skills are required. The salary is $100/day plus mileage along with reimbursable business expenses.

DENTCO says it is the first Exterior Services Management Company in the United States, with more than 30 years of experience with retail store and facility exteriors. For more information, see the Web site.
