Dialight to release advanced lighting controls for demanding applications

by Shane Henson — May 22, 2013—Dialight, a developer of light-emitting diode (LED) lighting technology, will soon introduce integrated controls for its LED lighting fixture portfolio for use in industrial and hazardous locations. According to the company, the controls were developed to help customers save on both energy and maintenance costs while also allowing them to regulate exactly how, when and where their lighting is operated.

The patent-pending, smart grid-compatible control package is available in variety of communications protocols. These include powerline communications, wireless (industry standard Zigbee) or DALI platforms. They can be manually configured or accessed utilizing a touch screen wall controller via mobile devices such as iPhone, iPad, or Android, or from a remote network computer.

Dialight says its advanced lighting controls system will debut on the company’s award-winning LED High Bay products for industrial and hazardous locations including UL Class I and II, Div 1, Class I and II, Div 2 as well as ATEX/IECEx Zone 1 and 2 configurations. Products will ship in Q2-2013 and will be integrated into additional Dialight fixture families later in 2013.
