Diversified real estate organization chooses Yardi Voyager for portfolio management

by Shane Henson — February 15, 2013—Yardi, a global provider of property management software and asset management solutions, announced that diversified real estate owner and developer GID and its management affiliate Windsor Property Management Company have selected Yardi Voyager as their core property management and accounting platform.

Yardi Voyager is a fully integrated, Web-based, enterprise management system designed for property owners, managers, and investors in global real estate markets. Yardi says GID expects additional operational efficiencies in resident screening, lead management and tracking, and business intelligence by expanding Yardi Voyager with the company’s Yardi Resident Screening, Yardi PopCard and Yardi Orion for SharePoint.

Orion is a business intelligence platform that will combine GID’s operational and financial data in Yardi Voyager with the ancillary data from Yardi Resident Screening and Yardi PopCard for unprecedented business intelligence on GID’s business performance trending, says Yardi. This information can provide the basis for unique insights and quick action, such as the adoption of more cost-effective marketing approaches. As another example, Orion can combine applicant screening results with resident history data to illustrate skip, eviction and delinquency trends, allowing GID to adjust screening criteria accordingly to select higher quality residents.

GID says it will use Yardi’s platforms to seize the opportunity to reduce logins and streamline access to key performance indicators across the organization.

“Using multiple point solutions for our back-office functions became overwhelming,” said Shawn Mahoney, chief information officer for GID. “The integrated Voyager platform will reduce both our database systems and our logins by more than half. This will make life simpler for our site personnel by letting them focus on serving customers and renting property rather than searching for or manually entering data which then has to be transferred into the core platform.”
