DOE’s Building E2 News 2010 summer issue now available

by Jbs082710 a3 — August 30, 2010—The 2010 summer issue of the Building E2 News, the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Building Technologies Program’s free online quarterly newsletter, is now available. Building E2 News is designed to keep those involved with residential and commercial buildings current with the latest research and news about energy-efficient buildings.

The summer issue offers information on:

  • DOE’s Commercial Building Partnerships, which team DOE and its National Laboratories together with commercial builders to boost the energy efficiency of existing buildings and create replicable models for future construction;
  • Building America research team retrofit projects that focus on air sealing;
  • An interview with Richard Karney of DOE’s Appliance Testing and Verification program about a pilot testing program that ensures appliances perform to ENERGY STAR requirements;
