April 6, 2006—Door Guard Inc. has launched its new temporary elevator door and interior wall protection systems. These are designed to eliminate damage to elevator entryways and interior building walls for commercial movers and furniture installers

Door Guard is a fabricator of patented elevator, wall and door protection systems for use in office building and condominiums. Briane Hartley, President of Door Guard Inc. said, “We have provided temporary elevator cab and door protection customized to a specific elevator for facility managers and building owners for the past 3 years. However, we found our customized Door Liners did not lend themselves to the durability, design flexibility and economic model required of the commercial office mover and furniture installation market.”

Hartley continued: “Many elevator entryways vary in dimensional configuration requiring a local service provider to invest in 3-5 of our Door Liners to protect the various elevators encountered. By providing our standard Door Liner with several adjustment-spacers, the service provider now requires only one Door Liner to fit most any elevator configuration. 3M offered their new Dual-Lock fastener system as a quick, reliable way to attach the 1 and 2 spacers to our Door Liner.” Door Guard then laminated the entire Door Liner with a tough acrylic/PVC sheeting material to stand up to the rigors of the commercial office mover.

Door Guard also introduced a new companion product providing temporary wall protection for building interiors called Wall Guard.

Door Guard LLC was started in 2001 with a vision to reduce and eliminate damage for facility managers, commercial movers, contractors, developers, apartment buildings and dormitories. For more on the company, visit its Web site.
