August 27, 2007—Dri-Eaz Products’ new EB1400 brings versatility to any situation where portable environmental control is needed, says the company. The EB1400 is ideal for spot cooling during summer in health care facilities and labs, or for year-round use in industrial areas like computer rooms and sensitive manufacturing areas.

It can be used for heating and dehumidification, as well as for cooling.

Dri-Eaz designed the EB1400—the first product from its EnviroBoss line—to provide the ultimate control for balancing temperature, humidity, and air exchange. The EB1400 offers 1-ton cooling effectiveness with 470 CFM, plus dehumidification, focused heating and ventilation. It’s ductable for spot cooling and directing heat into specific spaces, while also filtering room air and pumping out condensation. The unit features a digital temperature control that keeps operation simple, and wheel casters that make it easy to move from room to room, notes the company.

The EB1400 draws just 11.7 amps to run on a 15-amp circuit, and is capable of removing 110 pints of water from the air per day. The unit’s rotomolded housing and drip tray are treated with Microban antimicrobial product protection, and the sturdy shell protects it from dings or dents that commonly plague metal housing designs.
