by Rebecca Walker — March 26, 2010—Eaton Corporation has landed a contract to work with the U.S. Postal Service’s Eastern Facilities Service Office on a range of energy conservation projects in Ohio, Pennsylvania and North and South Carolina.
According to Eaton Corporation, the assignment is an Indefinite Job Order Contract covering work that includes energy engineering, audits, lighting retrofits, lighting controls, upgrades to compressed air systems, and minor improvements to heating, ventilation and air conditioning at postal facilities in the four states.
The contract is the latest involving Eaton and a government organization. Others include an agreement with the San Antonio Military Medical Center on the Fort Sam Houston Army base in Texas for $8 million in electrical products and services. Eaton also is supplying hybrid electric power systems for 35 fuel-efficient shuttle buses purchased by the U.S. General Services Administration for use on U.S. military bases.
