Eco Building Products’ acrylic coating protects interior and exterior surfaces

by Shane Henson — January 2, 2013—Eco Building Products Inc. has announced the launch of a new product developed to defend buildings against damage caused by storms, hurricanes, tornadoes and other natural disasters.

Its newest offering, Eco Disaster Break, is a Class A Fire Rated, ultraviolet (UV)-resistant, high-performance, nontoxic acrylic coating that forms a waterproof and seamless monolithic membrane. When applied to Eco Red Shield-protected wood surfaces, Eco Disaster Break forms the most advanced defensive construction assembly available against water penetration, fire ignition, mold, wood-rot and termites, the company claims.

According to Eco Building Products, Eco Disaster Break can be used over various interior or exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, trim, cementitious surfaces, stucco, wood siding, shingle siding, window frames, and rough, porous, textured or irregular surfaces.
