EMCOR Group subsidiary to provide facilities services at Fort Huachuca Army post

by Brianna Crandall — December 14, 2012—EMCOR Group, a Fortune 500 leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure, and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses, recently announced that its subsidiary EMCOR Government Services has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army to perform support services for the Directorate of Public Works at Fort Huachuca, in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

The project began November 1, 2012. The contract provides for a one-year term with an option by the U.S. Army to extend it for up to four additional years. If the project extends over the five-year period, EMCOR Government Services will be paid an aggregate of $42.7 million.

EMCOR Government Services will be responsible for performing a variety of functions at the Army post, including operation and maintenance of water and wastewater, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Its scope of work also includes minor construction, roads and grounds maintenance, and pest control.

Located 15 miles north of the Mexican border, Fort Huachuca is the home of the U.S. Army Intelligence Center and the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM)/9th Army Signal Command. The National Historic Landmark is also the headquarters of Army Military Affiliate Radio System (MARS), the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC), and the Electronic Proving Ground (EPG). Libby Army Airfield is also located on the post.
