by Shane Henson — October 16, 2013—Emerson Network Power, a global company specializing in maximizing the availability, capacity, and efficiency of critical infrastructure, recently announced the availability of a cooling control optimization service offering that it says enables data centers to meet the growing demands for increased capacity and cost reduction through improved efficiencies.
According to Emerson Network Power, the comprehensive service helps configure data center precision cooling systems to optimize performance for customers’ specific applications by eliminating unit fighting, improving load sharing, and reducing energy consumption. The service includes end-user consultation, set points configuration, control and setting consultation, and configuration of optimized aisle control to help data center managers define their unique cooling needs and determine an actionable plan for addressing them.
This service offering is available nationwide, and data center managers using the service are expected to experience significant improvements in energy efficiency.
“We’ve found that Emerson’s unified cooling system with intelligent control capability provides that added flexibility to help our customers realize improved efficiency by 10 to 20 percent,” said Omar McKee, marketing director for Emerson Network Power’s Liebert Services business in North America.
