by Rebecca Walker — November 16, 2009 Encore, formerly Encore Seating, has introduced Element, a versatile executive, managerial and task chair with contemporary styling.

With fluid compound curves and a clean silhouette, Element provides exceptional comfort enhanced by stylish elegance, says the company. It meets the needs of today’s flexible workplaces with carefully designed features such as five mechanism choices, t-arms with built-in pivot capability and a broad assortment of functional options. The slender profile, coupled with front and back stitching details, creates a tailored finish that neatly complements its form.

Element is available in mid-back or high back styles with fixed cantilever arms, an adjustable t-arm with black or chrome details, or armless. Adjustable t-arms feature arm pads that angle inward and outward 25 degrees for optimum comfort, and slide forward and backward to accommodate individual preferences.

For task-oriented requirements, multi-lever and task intensive models are equipped with convenient adjustment controls to provide a range of motion in seat and back heights as well as seat and back angle positions. Ideal for conference and executive seating applications, synchro-tilt, synchro knee-tilt and swivel tilt mechanisms offer the appropriate balance of comfort and adjustment simplicity.

In addition, this series comes standard with a host of ergonomic options including a seat slider, width adjustable arms and adjustable lumbar support while a variety of base and upholstery selections provide the finishing touches.
