Energy audit from Tozour Energy helps Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel cut energy use

by AF 0831 d5 — September 4, 2009—Tozour Energy Systems, Inc., a full-service HVAC and building automation provider, has been selected to work with the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel to implement an energy reduction plan that will save the hotel hundreds of thousands of dollars per year in energy costs, according to Tozour.

The Sheraton Atlantic City is a full-service hotel conveniently located next to the Convention Center and in walking distance to outlet shopping, the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk and casinos.

Tozour will identify energy saving opportunities throughout the property during an in-depth energy audit. This will include both capital expenditures such as new energy efficient HVAC equipment, and non-capital changes such as eliminating unnecessary lighting or changing system start times.

The initiative is scheduled to be complete in early 2010.

The energy reduction undertaking will be part of the New Jersey Clean Energy Program’s Pay for Performance Program, which incourages eligible commercial, institutional and industrial buildings to carry out energy reduction projects with official Pay for Performance partners such as Tozour Energy Systems. Upon completion of specific energy reduction benchmarks, the hotel will earn monetary incentives for helping to reduce the building’s impact on the environment.

The Sheraton Atlantic City is actively re-engineering every aspect of business operations, finding new ways to implement change that reduce the negative impact on the environment, while positively impacting the company’s bottom line and continuing to offer a world class hospitality experience for guests, says the company.
