Energy Expert by TotalFacility provides real-time energy use monitoring and modeling

by Rebecca Walker — August 14, 2009—TotalFacility has introduced Energy Expert, a real-time energy use monitoring and modeling tool that enables facility managers to achieve energy savings of up to 20 percent, according to the company.

The Web-based technology, provided through a partnership with NorthWrite, a wireless energy monitoring provider, is the first of an anticipated suite of TotalFacility solutions that will help facilities managers to optimize their buildings’ systems and conserve energy.

Based on research funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, Energy Expert tracks the implementation of broad energy savings programs, measures and verifies savings and “flags” unusual changes in energy use.
