by AF 0607d5 — June 12, 2009—Energy Focus, Inc., a global leader in energy-efficient lighting technologies, has retrofitted the Cuyahoga County Gerber Building located in Cleveland, Ohio, with its newest LED lighting solution – Energy Efficient LED Landscape Lighting.
This marks the second beta site for the new fixtures after an install at Geis Construction headquarters in Streetsboro, Ohio, earlier in the year, says the company.
Energy Focus Inc. replaced 250- and 400-watt Metal Halide fixtures with its new 26-watt LED Landscape luminaires. The fixtures are manufactured exclusively by Energy Focus, Inc.
This retrofit reduced the county building’s energy consumption by 89 percent and practically eliminates maintenance for at least 10 years because of the fixtures’ 50,000-hour LED lamp life, according to the company.
