Energy Focus, Inc. named GSA Schedule contractor for lighting technologies

by Rebecca Walker — February 20, 2009—Energy Focus, Inc., a global leader in energy-efficient lighting technologies, is now an official GSA Schedule contractor to the US government, the company announced.

Under the GSA Schedules Program, The General Services Administration establishes long-term government wide contracts with commercial firms to provide products and services that can be ordered directly from GSA Schedule contractors or through the GSA Advantage! online shopping and ordering system.

For example, the General Services Administration just announced a $7 billion backlog of maintenance and repair projects for existing buildings. “Projects that can show significant energy savings and provide the highest return on investment stand the best chance of being implemented. Energy Focus’ LED based lighting solutions offer those advantages, are prequalified, and can now be procured quickly and easily by public agencies,” said Julia Dolsen, marketing manager for the company.

Energy Focus, Inc. is the leading supplier of energy solutions and the world’s only supplier of EFO, a lighting technology that is more efficient than conventional electric lamps. For more information, see the Web site.
