Enermodal headquarters becomes its 100th LEED certified project

by Shane Henson — July 4, 2011—Enermodal Engineering, Canada’s largest green building consultant, recently became the first LEED consultant to certify 100 LEED projects in Canada. Administered in Canada by the Canada Green Building Council, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is North America’s premier green building rating system.

The 100th LEED certified project was Enermodal’s own headquarters, A Grander View, which achieved LEED Canada NC and CI Platinum. Using a metered 69 kWh/m2 compared with the Canadian average of over 375 kWh/m2, A Grander View is Canada’s most energy-efficient office.

Other notable projects that have received LEED certification include:

  • Stratus Vineyards: First LEED Canada-certified building
  • Toronto Region Conservation Authority, Restoration Services Centre: First LEED Platinum-certified project in Ontario
  • Fifth Town Artisan Cheese Co.: First LEED Platinum-certified industrial building in Canada
