October 30, 2006—EnviroCare has introduced Moldex PAINT!, a mold and mildew-resistant paint for architectural finish applications.

This premium, water-based acrylic finish paint is ideal for use in residential, commercial, institutional and hospitality environments, where quality and health are of primary concern, says the company. The bright white architectural finish utilizes AgIon silver antimicrobial technology, and is warranted against mold and mildew growth on its surface for 10 years from application with a single coat. Moldex PAINT! is tintable, and comes in both an eggshell and semi-gloss finish.

AgIon is a silver-ion technology that has been used in medical devices, textiles, consumer devices, and other important target applications where microbial growth is of concern. By utilizing premium mold and mildew-resistant finishes like Moldex PAINT!, builders, owners and project designers can limit the opportunity for mold and mildew growth to occur on finished surfaces.

Moldex PAINT! is part of a complete mold and mildew control program offered by EnviroCare, including Moldex disinfectant cleaner, and Forsite mold resistant coatings for mold prevention in new construction. Moldex PAINT! is available through EnviroCare’s extensive network of dealers throughout the country.
