EnviroGard expands propane conversion kits for mowers

by Brianna Crandall — December 2, 2015—Of particular interest to facilities managers responsible for the grounds of a large corporate or educational campus, EnviroGard recently announced it is continuing its highly successful dealer-installed propane engine conversion program with an expansion to 36 different models.

The conversion kits are designed and manufactured by EnviroGard and installed by certified John Deere dealer technicians to provide professional landscapers, municipalities, and other large fleet owners with an environmentally responsible and economical fuel solution.

Available conversions include 21 John Deere ZTrak zero-turn mowers, seven John Deere QuikTrak stand-on mowers, and eight John Deere commercial walk-behind mowers. Conversions will be available through John Deere dealers for commercial end users in the United States for the 2016 season.

Once converted, the propane-powered machines are compliant to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resources Board (CARB) requirements. EnviroGard also offers a 22-module online University Training program to certify all of the John Deere dealers’ technicians.

Contractors interested in converting existing models simply need to visit their local John Deere dealer to determine if a kit is available for their specific machines.
