For changing your fluorescent channel lighting to LED technology, these retrofit kits install in minutes

by Brianna Crandall — October 30, 2019 — Espen Technology, a US-based designer and manufacturer of high-quality, high-performance linear LED lighting components used around the world, just announced the release of its new channel retrofit kits, named VersaKit Channel. These advanced channel retrofit kits are designed to easily convert 4-foot or 8-foot fluorescent channel wide strips to the most current light-emitting diode (LED) technology.

The kit comes fully assembled as a lensed kit and requires only minutes to install, thus significantly reducing labor costs. Utilizing the existing fixture housing also reduces material costs and avoids disturbing the ceiling.  The channel kit is designed for widths of 4.25” to 5.25”, with a minimum depth of 1.625” T8 or T12 fluorescent wide strips.

VersaKit Channel is the latest addition to Espen’s VersaKit family of retrofit kits, which includes:

  • Troffer retrofit kits
  • 3-level output switchable troffer retrofit kits
  • Flat panel retrofit kits
  • Strip retrofit kits
  • Linear retrofit kits
  • Commercial recessed downlight retrofit kits

The kits range in output from roughly 3000 lumens to 12,000 lumens per kit, and are offered in 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K CCTs.  VersaKit Channel kits are universal voltage (120-277V), 0-10V dimmable, DLC Premium listed, UL listed, and come with a five-year warranty.  Emergency back-up driver options are also available.
