ExteNet Systems’ distributed network to enable advanced connectivity at Cleveland Medical Mart and Convention Center

by Shane Henson — May 30, 2012—ExteNet Systems, a leader in the implementation and operation of distributed networks, has been tapped to design, install, manage, and maintain a distributed antenna system network within the Cleveland Medical Mart and Convention Center (CMMCC) in Cleveland, Ohio.

Scheduled to open in August 2013, the CMMCC will include a 235,000-square-foot medical showroom, 230,000-square-foot exhibition hall, 60,000-square-foot conference room with HD (high-definition) display systems and video-conferencing capabilities, and a 30,000-square-foot grand ballroom. The sophisticated, hi-tech facility is designed to become the center of the largest concentration of medical leadership in the United States.

ExteNet was chosen, in part, because the company specializes in providing high-performance distributed networks for use by wireless carriers in challenging indoor and outdoor operating environments.

“We were looking for a reputable, stable and visionary technology partner who could provide a neutral host, DAS (direct-attached storage) network with multiple carrier options, integrated with public safety,” said William Wong, director of information technology (IT) at CMMCC. “ExteNet has demonstrated years of experience in deploying open, scalable and reliable communication networks and, after careful review, we knew they were the right choice to help us achieve our goal of making CMMCC the premier healthcare and medical destination in the United States.”
