ExxonMobil extends 1.2-billion-sq.ft. FM contract with Johnson Controls

September 3, 2003—ExxonMobil, a giant in the energy and petrochemical business, has renewed its facility management contract with Johnson Controls, Inc., with more than 1.2 billion square feet under management.

The five-year agreement extends the five-year working relationship between Johnson Controls and ExxonMobil at ExxonMobil’s Dallas and Fairfax, Va., locations. Johnson Controls will continue to provide comprehensive facility management services for both campuses, including strategic planning, operations and maintenance, mechanical services, subcontractor management, general maintenance, and support of critical environment facilities at the Dallas location. The renewal, according to Johnson Controls, will provide ExxonMobil with continued cost efficiencies, guaranteed uptime for certain critical environments, and continued adherence to strict safety requirements.

Additionally, ExxonMobile has awarded Johnson Controls a GlobalEnabling Agreement, which will allow the two companies to streamline the procurement and implementation of services in the future. This agreement, Johnson Controls explains, will result in lower costs and improved operational performance for ExxonMobil.

In addition to these facilities in the U.S., Johnson Controls supports ExxonMobil facilities throughout Asia, Europe and Australia.
