Facility management came in at number 11, with a current salary of $94,491, a 4.38 percent increase over the previous year’s average salary of $89,262. The report describes a facility manager as the person who oversees “all things concerned with the operation, repair, maintenance and construction of facilities, equipment, buildings and grounds.
The top five jobs for salary growth were:
- Oral pathologists, who study diseases associated with the mouth and currently earn $188.577, up 6.83 percent from last year’s $159,759.
- Social media researchers, who conduct research for use in understanding social problems and for planning and carrying out social welfare programs and earn $80,151 on average, up 6.65 percent from last year’s $68,480.
- Pharmacologists, who conduct experiments to determine how drugs and other substances affect organ and tissues and earn $99,370, up 5.35 percent from last year’s $90,012.
- Toxicologists, who research the toxic effects products and ingredients have on living organisms and earn $70,273, up 5.35 percent from last year’s $63,655.
- Vocational training teachers, who teach personal, social and professional skills to disabled students and earn $57,401, up 4.93 percent from last year’s $52,982.
