Finelite’s complete recessed LED fixtures provide glare-free illumination

by Ann Withanee — October 28, 2011—Lighting systems manufacturer Finelite has launched its newly expanded product portfolio of its innovative High Performance Recessed (HPR) collection, including HPR-LED. Finelite says that the award-winning HPR-LED is the first complete family of affordable light-emitting diode (LED) recessed luminaires available to customers delivering the superior performance and benefits they want from solid-state lighting (SSL).

The entire HPR-LED collection was selected by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) for its annual 2011 Progress Report, a worldwide program recognizing the innovation and achievements in lighting.

The availability of a family of recessed LED luminaires can bring a consistent appearance to ceilings, simplify facilities maintenance with easy-access replacement, and produce quality, glare-free illumination.

Finelite cites these attributes of its HPR-LED family:

• It is the first complete family of affordable LED recessed luminaires available in these sizes: 2×4, 2×2, 1×4, 1×2, 1×1 and wall wash fixtures.
  
• Finelite’s LED light engine runs so cool that it will deliver over 90 percent initial light output at 100,000 hours of operation.
  
• The right diffuser coupled with proper LED distribution produces a high quality, glare-free experience.
  
• The uniquely designed optical chamber is finished with high-reflectance matte white paint and delivering maximum performance. HPR-LED (2×2) delivers 90 lumens per watt and consumes just 35 watts.
  
• All components are 100 percent serviceable from below the ceiling.
  
• Dimming standard of 0-10v dimming is standard for every luminaire in the family.
  
• Independently tested LM79 and LM80 Reports are available for all luminaires.
