by Shane Henson — November 23, 2012—FirstFuel Software, a developer of an energy analytics platform for commercial buildings, announced that its Remote Building Assessment (RBA) is one of the first applications available on the Panoptix application marketplace by Johnson Controls.
Johnson Controls’ Panoptix solution is the first open platform in the building automation market, according to FirstFuel Software. The application marketplace provides customers with a virtual “store” of apps that enable them to derive more insight and value from their energy data. FirstFuel’s applications, which utilize its patent-pending, zero-touch data analytics platform, provides Panoptix users with a broad range of capabilities to help lower energy costs and improve return on investment, from remote audits to energy monitoring and other professional services.
FirstFuel’s RBA platform uses whole building consumption data to produce deep, end-use level intelligence into buildings’ energy consumption. The platform includes end-use level benchmarking of building energy performance, customized operational and retrofit recommendations, and ongoing monitoring and tracking of energy efficiency savings.
“Panoptix is an innovative platform with tremendous potential, and we’re thrilled to provide the first remote audit and energy analytics solution available in its application marketplace,” said FirstFuel CEO Swapnil Shah. “Building owners and managers, like utilities, are increasingly embracing big data as a way to reduce energy usage. FirstFuel’s comprehensive analytics platform will help them identify the highest potential efficiency opportunities and deliver real, measurable savings in their buildings.”
