by Shane Henson — January 6, 2012—Fluor Corporation, a multinational company that designs, builds and maintains many of the world’s most challenging and complex projects, was recently awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy to provide base operations support services at the Naval Air Station Jacksonville; Naval Station Mayport; Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Jacksonville; and Blount Island Command.
Under this new contract, Fluor will be providing base operations support services, which include port services, supply, personnel support, facilities support, facilities management/facilities investment, utilities, electrical, water, wastewater, telecommunications, base support vehicles and equipment, and environmental services. According to Fluor’s leadership, work will be performed at Navy bases and installations in the greater Jacksonville, Florida area.
