by AF 0410 I 5 — April 12, 2010—Fluor Corp., a provider of engineering and facility maintenance services, has been awarded by IBM a facilities management contract for more than 300 sales, administrative, data center and corporate facilities throughout the U.S., according to a recent announcement. The sites vary in size, with some as small as a few thousand square feet and others larger than 1 million square feet. Fluor booked the four-year contract in the first quarter of 2010.
Under this contract, Fluor will provide ongoing operations and maintenance, space management, health and safety, landscape and grounds, janitorial and other facility management services. The transition will begin immediately with more than 300 Fluor facility management personnel at various locations.
