FM:Systems named to Triangle Business Journal list of fast-growing companies

by Ann Withanee — November 17, 2010—FM:Systems, a leading provider of integrated workplace management systems (IWMS) and computer-aided facility management (CAFM) software, was named one of the fastest growing companies with exceptional leadership in the Triangle area of North Carolina by the Triangle Business Journal. The Fast 50 companies in the area were selected based on dollar growth, percentage rate of growth, and profitability over a three-year period, using revenue numbers analyzed by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

“It’s an honor to receive this award,” says Michael Schley, CEO and founder of FM:Systems. “The economic downturn has made it challenging for all businesses. However, this award demonstrates that providing quality products and taking care of your customers is a formula for success.”

The company attributes its Fast 50 status to recent successes including revenue growth of 15 percent, with continued growth expected this year. FM:Systems expanded its network of business partners, including Autodesk on benefits of building information modeling (BIM). Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is another recent key alliance for FM:Systems, enabling the delivery of JLL’s occupancy planning and space data management services supported by the products available in FM:Interact.

The FM:Interact customer base continues to grow as well, with 37 new customers added in 2009 and 41 new customers added so far in 2010. Staff expanded by 17 employees between 2009 and 2010.

FM:Systems made significant enhancements to the FM:Interact product line with the launch of Versions 7.2 and 8.0. The new versions include a Sustainability Module, a BIM Integration Component, an upgrade to the .NET platform, and enhanced support for mobile access.

FM:Systems is headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, and conducts business in the Americas, Africa, Europe and Asia Pacific.
