Unlike current JOC offerings, the 4BT solution targets building and growing owner internal knowledge and capabilities. In addition, costs for solutions are not based upon a percentage of JOC construction value. The solution also equally benefits owners and design-builders.
The 4BT programmatic approach and supporting technology is said to be so simple that there is no longer a need for costly, on-site JOC consultants. Also, the use of locally researched construction cost data without the use of “location factors,” or economic factors for cost data localization or updating significantly increases cost visibility and transparency, points out the company.
Owners can phase in proven processes and workflows as capabilities and teams grow, and maximize the use of available funds for actual construction needs instead of paying excessive JOC administrative fees.
