by Jbs032410c3 — March 26, 2010—Franmar Chemical has announced that six of its BEAN-e-doo products, used in the cleaning industry for 25 years, have now received recognition from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Design for the Environment (DfE) program for use of a safer chemistry. BEAN-e-doo products are soybean-based solutions that Franmar says are effective, economical and safe.
The six products that have received EPA-DfE recognition include the BEAN-e-doo brand of mastic remover, parts washer, asphalt cleaner, textile ink remover, vinyl cleaner, and undercoating remover.
EPA analysis of the BEAN-e-doo products concluded they were formulated 1) with the environment and human health in mind; 2) to help promote a safer workplace; and 3) to contain certain attributes that may significantly reduce wear and tear on substrates, fabrics, and other surfaces with which the products come in contact, thereby extending their usable life.
To mark Franmar’s 25th anniversary in 2010, the company has launched a new Web site and e-newsletter (Franmar Chemical Connection), both of which are designed to offer visitors valuable product and industry information.
