G4S to provide integrated security for Sun Life Stadium

by Brianna Crandall — November 6, 2015—G4S, a global integrated security company, recently announced its partnership with Sun Life Stadium, home of the National Football League’s (NFL) Miami Dolphins, to deliver a new, state-of-the-art security solution.

G4S will design, integrate, and manage the facility’s security system and operations. The first phase, to be completed this year, includes multiple solutions from the G4S portfolio.

In addition to providing security personnel, G4S’ AMAG Technology will provide Symmetry, an intelligent, networked solution that manages access control, video, and security. G4S will also deliver and manage a video management system comprised of high-resolution 30 megapixel surveillance cameras.

The second phase, to begin in 2016, will include the development and management of an ultramodern security Command Center. This will serve as the hub of Sun Life Stadium’s security operations.

Many sporting facilities operate with multiple security vendors, which can create complexity and risk, note the companies. With G4S, Sun Life Stadium benefits from the scale of a global leader in progressive security solutions — one provider with one cohesive offering to maintain maximum safety and deliver a positive fan experience.

“G4S is working with the Dolphins’ security and IT functions to migrate from individual systems to a comprehensive and integrated security offering,” said John Kenning, regional CEO, North America, G4S. “We believe this stadium will become a model for how security is delivered and managed at other major sporting and events venues.”
