by Shane Henson — February 15, 2013—General Glass International (GGI), a supplier of high-performance architectural and decorative glass products, has released a 10 millimeter (mm) Reeded glass product that is ideal for interior glass applications such as office partitions, shower enclosures and area demarcations, where a slightly obscured view is desirable for both privacy and aesthetics.

In addition to the new 10 mm, GGI also offers the more traditional 4 mm and 6 mm products. For all of the thicknesses, the reeds are 1/2″ wide and parallel to the longer dimension of the sheet. The Reeded product line is part of GGI’s Patterned family of products, which GGI says span from the most familiar textures to the highly exotic, and are used for light control, privacy, bath enclosures and numerous decorative applications.

“We are excited to offer our customers another sought-after design for heavy glass applications,” says Randy Coones, vice president of product development for GGI. “The 10mm, along with our 4 and 6mm products provides designers and glaziers a nice array of Reeded options.”

General Glass International (GGI) offers architects, contractors and fabricators a complete line of high-performance architectural and decorative glass products for interior and exterior applications. GGI is based in Secaucus, NJ and is a fifth-generation, family-owned and operated glass fabrication business that has built its reputation on continuing to exceed its customers’ expectations, says the company.
