by Ann Withanee — November 10, 2010—The Global Facilities Management Association (Global FM) and the EuroFM Network have announced the formation of an affiliation agreement. The agreement was signed during the Global FM International Workshop that took place in Atlanta, Georgia, in October.
The affiliation agreement is the result of several months of discussions and exchange of information and ideas between both associations.
As affiliates, Global FM and EuroFM will cooperate and promote the establishment of facility management organizations that provide support to the FM profession. This will involve participating in cross-promotional activities, including:
- Promotion of each other’s events, programs, conferences and related activities.
- Collaboration on activities of common interest.
- Extension of complimentary, introductory level, membership to each other’s members.
- Listing of each other’s organization, contact information, Web links, membership benefits, etc. on respective Web sites.
- Collaboration on activities of common interest.
EuroFM represents European workspace facilities and services and has 90 members, of which 21 are national associations representing 20,000 members.
Global FM member organizations are IFMA in the U.S., FMA Australia in Australia, ABRAFAC in Brazil, SAFMA in South Africa, BIFM in the U.K., HFMS in Hungary and ARSEG in France. For more information visit the Global FM Web site.
