by Shane Henson — July 24, 2013—Global Industries, a manufacturer of a broad range of furniture products designed to meet the needs of today’s changing workplace, recently announced the release of Arti, an ergonomic task chair the company says will not cause the aches and pains so many employees experience after prolonged sitting.

Arti features Global’s new patented flexible back support system, which achieves ideal comfort by conforming to the individual spine shape of each user, the company claims. Arti supports the human body with its adjustable seat, armrest, and backrest positioning. The glass-filled nylon seat frame can be moved forward and backward to suit any leg length. Four-way adjustable aluminum armrest pads offer even more comfort and mobility.

The healthy-back chair can support any employee who finds him or herself sitting in a chair for hours each day, as is common in today’s office environment. Arti minimizes the possibility of resultant aches and pains with a chair back that freely moves with the user, providing excellent back support. The back rest is linked together by internal steel cables and highly graded steel springs, which play a vital role in ensuring maximum strength and flexibility. Arti’s frame and horizontal flexible wings are made with tough, highly engineered grade plastics.

The series includes three back styles: polypropylene, mesh, or fully upholstered. Mesh backs are available in 10 colors and seats can be color coordinated in match fabric. Facilities and office managers whose companies have a commitment toward sustainability will also be impressed that 95 percent of each Arti chair can be easily recycled into future products, the company adds.
