by Shane Henson — August 29, 2012—Global, manufacturer of a variety of office furniture around the world, has launched a host of chairs in recent weeks that are versatile enough to be used in a wide range of environments.
Chairs within the company’s Proietto seating line feature high- and medium-back task seating with two mechanisms, a synchro-tilter and multi-tilter equipped with a smooth ratchet style back height adjustment. Chairs are fully upholstered with distinctive top stitching, and are available in fabric, vinyl or leather. A coordinating Proietto side chair is available with a black frame, or optional tungsten or chrome finish.
Chairs within the Primacare HT (high-traffic) line deliver the superior strength required in high-traffic environments, and visually coordinate with the original Primacare wood series to provide a comprehensive “one spec” solution. Global claims that Primacare and Primacare HT are the largest fully integrated seating solutions for acute care and elder care applications, and an ideal solution for clinics, emergency, waiting, treatment areas, patient rooms, and dining rooms.
Facilities managers searching for a contemporary guest chair may find Zooey, designed by world-renowned designer Zooey Chu, more than adequate. The chair’s breathable mesh back allows continuous air flow to eliminate heat build-up and is available in 10 brilliant colors. With “Match” fabric, seats can be color coordinated to mesh backs. Seats can also be upholstered in any of Global’s 400+ seating textiles or COM.
Lastly, Global has something for those in need of task seating. The company’s M9 series includes a high-back synchro-tilter with headrest, a medium back synchro-tilter, and a side chair—all developed and engineered for moderate to high usage. The M9 synchro model also features a height-adjustable lumbar back, pneumatic seat height adjustment, arm height adjustment, a built-in seat depth slider, and easy-to-adjust back tension control.
