by Shane Henson — August 17, 2012—GLOBALcare, the healthcare furniture division of The Global Group, has released a line of seating specifically designed to provide hospital and other healthcare patients and residents with increased comfort.

Aptly named Nourish, the chair’s unique features address a variety of body types, sizes and mobility issues, says GLOBALcare. Also, to facilitate safe patient transfer, each arm can be easily raised back, allowing horizontal movement to and from the chair.

Nourish’s height-adjustable legs with preset locking pins adjust independently to enhance the comfort level of various body types. The frames are available in two heights: 17″ (range 17-20″) and 20″ (range 20-23″). The legs can be adjusted to create a level, forward or rearward seat angle to further address individual patient needs.

The seat’s “tilt and move” wheels are standard on the rear legs for ease of movement within a space. The bariatric model is available in an 18.5″ fixed height. Models can be personalized with a concealed depth-adjustable head rest, depth-adjustable Schukra-brand lumbar support, and flexible back motion.

Nourish is available in an extensive range of GLOBALcare Crypton and Vinyl upholstery fabrics. Frame finishes available are Black, Tungsten, Toast and Platinum, and the self-skinned urethane armcaps come in Black, with Toast and Platinum available.
