by Ann Withanee — October 7, 2011—Honored as one of BuildingGreen’s choices of Top-10 Green Building Products for 2012, Cypress Envirosystems offers analog-to-digital wireless controls for commercial thermostats, lighting and other equipment. As an additional benefit to building owners and facilities executives, the Cypress wireless controls provide energy savings through its systems. The products were displayed at the U.S. Green Building Council’s Greenbuild conference held recently in Toronto.
Cypress Envirosystems’ analog-to-digital wireless controls allow older controls to be managed remotely to achieve significant energy savings. Engineered for retrofit applications, the company’s Wireless Pneumatic Thermostat (WPT) provides the ability to wirelessly control setpoints for daytime zone and night setback temperatures without having to change out pneumatic pipes, run wires, or open up walls or ceilings. These Wireless Pneumatic Thermostats can be selected with options integrating them into building automation systems and can be used for utility demand response programs. Lighting controls and wireless monitoring systems for air handlers, chillers, and boilers are also available. These products install in a fraction of the time of a full digital retrofit, with installation performed by installers certified by Cypress.
What makes this product green?: equipment that conserves energy and manages loads; building components that reduce heating and cooling load.
