by Rebecca Walker — August 6, 2010—Earth-friendly landscape design company GreenRock has introduced a paver base it describes as 100 percent recycled, durable and great-looking: GreenRock Paver Base.
Paving stones are versatile, long-lasting, customizable and sustainable, notes the company. GreenRock’s new Paver Base sand will create a firm, stable base for paving projects while avoiding the further depletion of our earth’s natural resources.
The company says it is made with a blending process that features crushed 100 percent recycled roofing tiles, concrete paving stones and concrete block. This blending technique also gives the sand a natural texture and color that blends nicely with a wide range of different sized/colored pavers, and makes for a great-looking decorative filler in between pavers.
GreenRock says it is no stranger to the recycling industry as its parent company, RAMCO (Recycled Aggregate Materials Company), was one of the first to help save valuable natural resources and limited dump space by creating a recycled aggregate road-based material which quickly became the choice of several city, county and states.
GreenRock contains no added coloring, says the company. For more information, see the Web site.
