by Rebecca Walker — December 20, 2010—GSH Group Inc., an international building engineering and energy management provider throughout the United States and Europe, announced it has entered into a contract for engineering services with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for the Authority’s recently acquired Marine Terminal in Bayonne, New Jersey.
The $1.5 million one-year contract was awarded through competitive bidding with GSH’s creative and flexible solutions for a complicated site requirement factored into the decision.
GSH’s program includes the operation, maintenance and repair of the building equipment located at Cape Liberty’s Port Jersey Marine Terminal, 51 Port Terminal Boulevard, in Bayonne. Additionally, GSH’s engineers will perform repairs and upgrades as needed, which may pertain to site safety or electrical distribution. GSH will upgrade the appearance of the site and will assist the Authority with managing traffic flow alterations.
Under separate contract awarded last year, GSH also provides engineering services to the Port Authority Trans-Hudson’s (PATH) MacMillan Bloedel Building and Train Control Center located at 100 Academy Street in Jersey City, New Jersey.
