HD Supply Facilities Maintenance to supply maintenance products to Maricopa County, Arizona

by Shane Henson — August 19, 2011—HD Supply Facilities Maintenance, a supplier of maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) products, recently announced that it has been awarded the products and related services MRO contract for one of the largest counties in the United States—Maricopa County in Phoenix, Arizona. The agreement between HD Supply Facilities Maintenance and U.S. Communities is a six-year contract that consists of three base years and three one-year extensions.

The government purchasing contract is in partnership with U.S. Communities, a nonprofit government purchasing cooperative that provides state and local government agencies, school districts (K-12), higher education and nonprofit organizations access to quality products and services at reduced costs through competitively solicited contracts between suppliers and lead public agencies.

As a result of the contract, facilities management professionals working for educational, government and related public facilities and organizations in Maricopa County that utilize U.S. Communities’ services could see significant reductions in both their product and operational costs.
