HID Global, ASSA ABLOY showcase access control, other security innovations at IFSEC 2011

by Brianna Crandall — May 20, 2011—HID Global, a leader in solutions for the delivery of secure identity, showcased its latest advances and offerings in solutions for physical and logical access as well as secure card issuance at international security conference IFSEC 2011 in Birmingham, U.K. HID and its parent company ASSA ABLOY exhibited side by side for the first time at IFSEC, demonstrating how both companies’ solutions can work together.

HID introduced its new iCLASS SIO-Enabled (SE) technology platform, “the next generation of access control,” designed to raise the bar for card-to-reader security while supporting key emerging technologies and delivering superior performance, enhanced usability, and increased environmental sustainability.

The company also introduced its new Identity on Demand (IoD) services, which provide the scale and resources to handle large-volume orders and tight deadlines. Its new secure Web portal enables monitoring and managing all aspects of card personalization projects.

Other key products demonstrated at IFSEC 2011 include: HID’s naviGO credential management software version 2.0; HID’s OMNIKEY reader line; HID’s FARGO HDP5000 high definition card printer/encoder, advanced generation FARGO direct-to-card printers, and Asure ID 7 card personalization software; ASSA ABLOY’s Aperio enabling technology; and ASSA ABLOY’s Cliq Remote Internet-based security management system.
