IAOP, ISG to honor ISS with global outsourcing social responsibility impact award

by Brianna Crandall — December 26, 2014—The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) and technology insights services company Information Services Group (ISG) recently announced that global facility services provider ISS will be honored as the winner of its third annual IAOP/ISG Global Outsourcing Social Responsibility Impact Award.

The award will be presented to ISS during the 2015 Outsourcing World Summit in February in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition, ISG will make a cash donation in the name of ISS to its chosen charity, FedCap, a pioneer in vocational rehabilitation.

“With global awareness rising regarding corporate social responsibility, it is imperative today that we recognize the positive impact sourcing professionals make in our communities and on the environment,” said Debi Hamill, IAOP CEO. “We are thrilled to honor ISS this year on their contributions; they have raised the bar for all of us.”

IAOP and ISG established the award in 2012 to recognize service provider excellence in corporate social responsibility. The winner demonstrates exemplary leadership in, and ongoing commitment to, activities that foster community involvement, fair operating and labor practices, respect for human rights, attention to environmental impacts, consumer issues and good governance.

IAOP executives gave credit to the company’s more than 520,000 employees and its loyal customers around the world, saying the company sees social responsibility not as a cost to the business, but as a way to create value for society, and praised Fedcap for the important work the organization does.

ISS was selected from among applicants for the IAOP’s Global Outsourcing 100. Service providers wishing to be eligible for the Global Outsourcing Social Responsibility Impact Award may apply annually during The Global Outsourcing 100 application process at IAOP’s Web site, notes the organization.
