IAOP releases 2012 rankings for Global Outsourcing 100 and World’s Best Outsourcing Advisors

by Brianna Crandall — July 20, 2012—The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) recently announced that Accenture has been named the world’s best outsourcing provider for the fifth consecutive year and KPMG topped the list of leading advisors to the industry in IAOP’s newly released 2012 Global Outsourcing 100 rankings. Rankings, selection process details, and company strengths are featured in the July 23 Global 500 issue of Fortune magazine.

Global Outsourcing 100

Ranked among the top 10 service providers, following Accenture, are, in order: (2) Infosys, (3) HCL Technologies, (4) CBRE, (5) ISS, (6) NCR, (7) Wipro Technologies, (8) Capgemini, (9) CSC, and (10) TeleTech.

The leading players on both lists possess strong customer references, management capabilities, balanced performance and demonstrated competencies in an industry that is increasingly becoming more strategic and used for higher skilled knowledge-based activities.

Information gathered during the selection showed that outsourcing remains a growing segment of business. Average revenue for 2012 Global Outsourcing 100 providers was $1.6 billion, with a growth rate of 6 percent versus 13 percent in 2008.

In addition to the 100 service providers, IAOP produces more than 80 sublists by service area, industry served and geography that provide customers of outsourced services with an invaluable tool for selecting the right service provider. The Global Outsourcing 100 , an independently judged, opt-in ranking of the world’s best outsourcing service providers and advisors, has become an important resource to help companies compare providers and advisors using an objective methodology. This is the eighth provider list and fifth advisor ranking.

The Rising Stars category of smaller fast-growing companies that are ranked numbers 76 to 100 provide a snapshot of outsourcing destinations to watch. New for 2013, all service provider applicants who complete the optional bonus question about corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities will be eligible for the 2013 IAOP/ISG Global Outsourcing Social Responsibility Impact Award (GOSRIA). The finalists for the GOSRIA will be named as a “Best in CSR Outsourcing” sublist of the Global Outsourcing 100.
