by Brianna Crandall — December 6, 2010—The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) recently announced the winners of its Awards of Excellence at IFMA’s World Workplace 2010 Conference and Expo in Atlanta, Georgia. The awards recognize companies and individuals in 18 categories for achievements that advance the FM profession, as well as chapters and councils for outstanding performance in key areas of chapter and council operations.
The 2010 chapter, council and company awards are:
- Sheila Sheridan Award for Sustainable Design and Energy Efficient Products: the corporate real estate and facilities department of Toyota Motor Sales, USA
- Council of the Year Award (tie): Banking Institutions and Credit Unions Council; and Museums and Cultural Institutions Council
- Chapter of the Year Award, large chapter: San Diego Chapter
- Chapter of the Year Award, small chapter: Madison Chapter
- Student Chapter of the Year Award: Brigham Young University Student Chapter
- Newsletter Publishing Award, large chapter (tie): Atlanta and Denver Chapters
- Newsletter Publishing Award, small chapter: Northeast Wisconsin Chapter
- Council Award for Newsletter Publishing: Academic Facilities Council
- Professional Development Award, large chapter: Atlanta Chapter, host to World Workplace
- Web Communication Award, large chapter: Silicon Valley Chapter
- Membership Marketing Award, small chapter: Madrid Chapter
- Council of the Year Award (tie): Banking Institutions and Credit Unions Council; and Museums and Cultural Institutions Council
