by Shane Henson — May 9, 2012—Incenergy LLC, an Austin, Texas-based smart building solutions company, was recently contracted to install its Building Portfolio Energy Management System (EMS) in LegacyTexas Bank branches. The EMS enables remote, multisite energy management from a computer, iPad and iPhone or Android based smartphone, and provided the bank with remote, wireless monitoring, command, and control of 66 thermostats spanning 11 locations.
“I can now make sure that all thermostats are automatically set back to energy saving settings after hours, even if employees adjust them on site,” said Jerry Duckworth, facilities operations manager for LegacyTexas Bank.
Incenergy says its affordable wireless energy management technology for commercial building portfolios features:
- Remote Temperature Sensors: wireless thermistors
- Temperature Control: program devices to control temperature at any given time
- Control User Overrides: control who can override thermostat settings
- Multisite Control: see all units across all sites in a single view
- Lighting Controls: preschedule banks of lights or remotely adjust in real time
- Usage Reporting: track and create reports of device run times and user overrides
- Monitoring: thermostat, humidity, alarms, and override requests
- Intuitive scheduling: schedule one or all devices with just a few clicks
- Real Time Performance Alarms: receive notifications when a device is not working properly
- Temperature Control: program devices to control temperature at any given time
Barry McConachie, Incenergy CEO, said, “We were happy to work with LegacyTexas Bank on this multisite building energy retrofit project. The fact that they can now just log on to the system rather than drive to all 11 locations to check on their HVAC systems is a great example of where Incenergy’s EMS is an effective solution for multisite retail energy and labor savings.”
