by Shane Henson — June 12, 2013—InterPro Solutions, a deliverer of professional and technical services to facilities owners and stakeholders, recently announced that its EZMaxMobile solution has been chosen by Cornell University as the primary mobile solution for the institution’s facilities maintenance workforce campus-wide.
Designed and developed for today’s mobile user, EZMaxMobile provides functionality for generating and managing work order, asset, inventory and purchasing-related transactions. EZMaxMobile also has the capability to perform bar code scanning as well as picture uploads related to work orders, locations and assets. The mobile user can capture GPS (global positioning system) coordinates associated with work orders, locations and assets, then view these attributes using EZMaxMobile’s “work map” functionality.
EZMaxMobile is being used for maintenance on more than 800 buildings, structures, areas, and fields that range in use from residential to research to academic to support. With more than 20,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students currently enrolled at Cornell, the ability to efficiently support campus operations is imperative, says InterPro Solutions.
“Cornell University continues to be on the forefront of applying technology innovations to streamline operations and provide superior service to our campus partners,” said Michael Baker, system administrator at Cornell University. “EZMaxMobile provided all of the features we were looking for, and we were impressed by the ease of use that will enable a quick rollout to our workforce.”
