by Shane Henson — November 26, 2012—Interserve, a support services and construction company operating worldwide, has added Carphone Warehouse to its list of clients. According to Interserve, the company was recently awarded a three-year, integrated facilities management contract with what is reportedly the largest independent telecommunications retailer in Europe.
Per the contract, Interserve will support more than 3,000 staff across Carphone Warehouse’s 32,000-square-meter commercial property portfolio in the United Kingdom, including its headquarters in Acton, call center in Warrington, and distribution center in Wednesbury.
This new contract will see Interserve redefine service delivery around the customer experience, it says. A 100-person-strong team will deliver cleaning, catering, post room, porterage, engineering maintenance and security services, along with additional front-of-house, waste management and office services.
Grahame Smith, group property director at Carphone Warehouse, commented, “By working with Interserve, we have the confidence that the essential services necessary for the smooth operation of key support buildings will be managed effectively, allowing us to focus on our core service delivery to our trading channels. We look forward to working in partnership with a team that is engaged in adding value and developing services that support our business goals.”
